Purification and properties of L-threonine dehydrase of sheep liver.

Materials-L-Threonine, L-serine, and pyridosal-P monohydrate were purchased from the California Corporation for Biochemical Research, a-ketobutyric acid from the Nutritional Biochemical Corporation, pyruvic acid from the Fisher Scientific Company, and DESE-cellulose from Eastman Organic Chemicals. nn-Allothreonine and L-allothreonine were kindly furnished by Dr. Alton iLleister of Tufts Univers...

Purification and properties of sheep liver phosphofructokinase.

1. The activity of phosphofructokinase in sheep liver was found to be dependent on the composition and molarity of the buffer used in extraction. Under optimum conditions a value of 4-7mumoles/min./g. wet wt. of tissue was obtained. 2. The enzyme was purified 480-fold by a combination of ammonium sulphate fractionation, heat treatment in the presence of ethanol, DEAE-cellulose chromatography an...

some properties of fuzzy hilbert spaces and norm of operators

in this thesis, at first we investigate the bounded inverse theorem on fuzzy normed linear spaces and study the set of all compact operators on these spaces. then we introduce the notions of fuzzy boundedness and investigate a new norm operators and the relationship between continuity and boundedness. and, we show that the space of all fuzzy bounded operators is complete. finally, we define...

Purification and properties of D-serine dehydrase from Escherichia coli.

A procedure is described for obtaining crystalline o-serine dehydrase from a mutant of Escherichia coli which produces this enzyme constitutively. The enzyme appears pure by ultracentrifugal and electrophoretic criteria. In sucrose gradients, serine dehydrase sediments to the same position as horseradish peroxidase, indicating a molecular weight of about 40,000. This corresponds closely to its ...
